Crystal Clear Mathematics has been created after years of having parents and students recommend that I create a website to share my teaching and resources.
I grew up in Ballina, a small country town in NSW, Australia. During my high school years I managed to come first in the state of NSW in science (thank you, Bob Quinlivan) and second in mathematics and, after moving to Sydney came ‘dux’ of Normanhurst Boys High School.
Since leaving school I have undertaken twelve years of full time tertiary studies, taught mathematics to secondary school students (and even kindergarten to grade six) on-and-off since 1978, and currently tutor students in mathematics. I have also worked as a technician on a helicopter simulator, been assistant pastor of a couple of churches, run a small computer business, worked as a network administrator, and functioned as an office adminstrator and public relations officer for a financial firm.
My passion for mathematics was particularly fired upon my reading a book called “The Search for Pattern” by W W Sawyer when I was about fifteen. I wish to convey something of that passion through the material provided on this site.
Thank you for visiting. I hope that you can benefit from using the material presented on this site and on my YouTube channel and FaceBook page.
